Ram Navami is a festival which falls on the ninth day of the bright half of the Chaitra month commemorating the birth of Lord Rama. People offer fast on this day along with decorating the temples of Lord Rama and filling it with lights.

Nag Panchami

Celebrated on the fifth day of Sravana month is Naga Panchami to propitiate the serpent gods. It is a very big rainy season festival where the women and girls sing songs. Offering of milk, rice and flowers are done to the drawings of snakes which are made on the walls of our houses.
